7 Types of Adelaide Chiropractic Patients

Best Way to Describe Pain Intensity

We've all experienced pain at some point or another. It's part and parcel of being a healthy human being.

It's your body's natural way of telling you that something's not right. In extreme cases, urgent attention may be required.

Some people ignore it when their pain level is low. Others feel the need to relieve it.

Instinctively, you are able to gauge the urgency of the pain you're feeling. Why is that?

Well, it all comes down to pain intensity. Simply put, how bad is your pain?

I’m Dr Kelvin Chew, your Chiropractor Adelaide. In this article, I will show you the 3 ways patients use to describe their pain.

I will also teach you the best way to describe your pain to get the most out of your Chiropractic near me (care).

7 Types of Adelaide Chiropractic Patients

5. Organised Olivia

Are you a well-organised person? Check your bedroom. Now look at your bathroom. You’ll know the answer based on how tidy they are.

Usually, I find that orderly patients improve the quickest under Chiropractic care. It may be because they are more consistent with their adjustments, missing their appointments less often.

It could be because they are highly accountable for their own health (and whole life, for that matter!). Patients like Olivia are punctual and plan ahead.

For instance, you’ll see her around with a digital or old-school diary. Maybe it annoys her that we live in an entropic world.

I’m not complaining. I love it when patients arrive on time and put their best foot forward. Because that's what I do too

6. Talkative Thomas

Thomas is quite the character. You probably have a Thomas in your group of friends or family. If you don’t, it’s probably you!

Another giveaway is the fear of silence. Being an introvert, I don’t mind a bit of peace and quiet. Patients like Thomas will feel uncomfortable with tranquility.

That’s because his mind goes at a thousand kilometres per hour. Patients like Thomas are good at expressing themselves, an excellent communicator.

However, they can also be distracting at crucial times. For instance, while being adjusted by your Chiropractor Adelaide, it’s best not to engage in active conversation.

Tip for These Types of Chiropractic Patients

Someone’s handling your spine! Any loss of focus on the Doctor’s part will be undesirable for Thomas. So, Thomas has to know when to dial down on the small talk.

7. Worried Willow

Ever heard of Doctor Google? What about a hypochondriac?

At any rate, self-diagnosing your own symptoms are like doing your own taxes. It causes more headaches!

Willow is overly anxious about how she feels. Even on a good day, she is troubled by the smallest things.

Patients like Willow need perspective. You’ll never be as cheery as Charlotte, but try to understand the facts before you let your imagination run wild.

Otherwise, you’ll always be burdened by a theoretical worst-case scenario (that you probably made up).

Just goes to show. All types of Chiropractic patients are different.
